Our Story

Before AUBRIEA, there was Nasté Apparel.

Nasté Apparel began as a rebuke.

At a time when powerful women were being called “nasty,” I became interested in the names and labels assigned to women, particularly when we are confident, outspoken, ambitious, successful, or simply unwilling to make ourselves smaller.

Nasté pushed back against those labels.

But as I grew, the brand grew with me.

I became less interested in responding to what someone else called us and much more interested in the question beneath it:

Who are you when you are not defined by others?

That evolution became AUBRIEA.

AUBRIEA is rooted in the belief that your confidence, individuality, beauty, worth, and power already belong to you.

You already exist with those.

Our role is different.

We create reminders. Reflections. Declarations. Invitations. And every now and then, a little nudge to turn up your audacity.

A statement tee doesn't make you bold.
A journal doesn't make you worthy.
A candle doesn't create your peace.
A bag doesn't give you individuality.

You give meaning to those things.

The AUBRIEA product simply begins the conversation.

That is why Be Uniquely You has remained at the heart of AUBRIEA. It is not an instruction to become someone new. It's an invitation to recognize, express, and celebrate who you already are.
