Where There's a Woman, There's a Way: Believing in Your Power to Figure Things Out

As we prepare for the holiday season, an anticipative time of creating wonderful memories and celebrations, it's important to pause and appreciate our journey. This year, perhaps more than ever, has reminded me of the incredible strength each of us possesses — the remarkable ability to adapt, overcome, and thrive, even in the face of unexpected challenges. My design statement for my apparel brand, NASTÉ Apparel, "Where there's a woman, there's a way," has never felt more relevant.

At this time last year, I created a reel that encapsulated this spirit, featuring myself wearing our "Where there's a woman, there's a way" sweatshirt. To my delight, it resonated with over 10,000 viewers. The view count may seem small compared to other viral reels, but for me, my brand, and my journey, that number marks a significant win. This response was not just a nod to a catchy phrase that I would hear my late Mom utter on multiple occasions but a testament to a universal truth we all share: we are more capable than we often give ourselves credit for.

In the past year, I’ve navigated personal losses, career transitions, and the ongoing journey of empowering others through my brand NASTÉ Apparel. Each step has been a lesson in trusting my abilities and having faith in my resilience. This experience echoes in the lives of countless women around the world, who, every day, prove that where there's a woman, there's an inexhaustible well of strength, wisdom, and the ability to figure things out.

As we approach the holiday season, it's a time not just of festivity but of introspection and planning. It's a season that often demands much from us - emotionally, physically, and mentally. Yet, it's also a time that reminds us of our remarkable capacity to navigate complexities with grace and determination.

I encourage you to have faith in yourself. Believe that you can overcome any obstacle and that you have the power to create a life that you love.

Here are a few tips that I recommend for having faith in your abilities:

  • Focus on your past successes. Remind yourself of all the times you've overcome challenges in the past. This will give you confidence that you can do it again.
  • Don't be afraid to ask for help. If you're stuck, don't be afraid to ask for help from others. There are people who care about you and want to see you succeed.
  • Be patient. Don't expect to figure everything out overnight. It takes time and effort to achieve your goals.

So, as you step into this season, do so with the confidence that you can handle whatever comes your way. Remember your inherent strength and the power of having faith in your abilities to figure things out. Where there's a woman, there's not just a way - there's a path of resilience, hope, and endless possibilities.
