NASTÉ Apparel and Sisterhood

“Let me remind all women that we live longer and better lives when we have sisters we love, not necessarily born in our bloodline or of our race.” Dr. Maya Angelou

I am kicking off Women’s History Month with a FOCUS on Sisterhood. As Dr. Angelou said in her quote, “we live longer and better lives when we have sisters we love, not necessarily born in our bloodline or of our race.” It’s on this premise of Sisterhood that NASTÉ was created.

Allow me to share with you a fun-fact about my vision to create NASTÉ. Women are always labelled. We’re always told that we are either "too something or not enough of something" and I have always had a problem with that. I have witnessed where some women appeared to have crawled into a shell and dimmed their light as a result. So fast forward to when we had that other person in the White House - the one who called our powerful, black girl magic women Michelle Obama and Kamala Harris and other women nasty? I felt a sudden urge to take a stance, but I didn’t act with urgency. I did nothing. It wasn’t until my vision disrupted my sleep for several nights that I paid attention and listened. Fast forward today…NASTÉ is here. My vision for NASTÉ is to inspire women to be their boldest, bravest, badass selves. Hence our hashtag slogan, #bebold #bebrave #beNASTÉ.

You see, I believe that when we inspire, celebrate, and lift each other, the impact is beyond anything you could ever imagine. My goal for NASTÉ is to be a sisterhood, a girl tribe community where we celebrate and inspire each other. You know the saying, “behind every successful woman is a group text propping her up and high-fiving her? Well, that’s my goal for you with our products and our feed. Our products are meant to cheer you on, to celebrate you, to inspire you to go after your dreams, to rise above the discomfort and lack of confidence that is attributed to being labelled or called names. What I know for sure is there is nothing like having the support of powerhouse group of women that I can lean into. Let’s have each other’s back.😍

Happy Women's History Month…let's #BreakTheBias

Sending you all love and light…and until our next Sisterhood encounter...stay inspired.

Yes Yes Yes! I am supporting the journey of sisterhood through this brand. Woman’s month means business and it definitely should be praised like any other holliday. By supporting , I will be ordering more merchandise because I am so awed by the passion that goes into the background of NASTÉ. Love it !
